Peru Immigration Requirements
The following guidelines are effective immediately for anyone traveling to Peru on company business.
All visitors are required to enter Peru on a business visa, if:
The traveler will be visiting for more than 7 days or
The traveler will be visiting frequently (3 or more times per year) or
The traveler will be doing more than just meetings in the office, e.g., spending time in the mine, reviewing equipment, etc�
If the answer to any of the three questions above is YES, then a business visa will be required.
If the answer to all three questions is NO, the visitor/tourist visa upon arrival is sufficient.
Visa Process
If visa is required, you must email the Global Mobility Specialist to begin processing your visa with the following:
Exact purpose of trip
Department working with at site
Principal contact in Peru
Proposed number of entries for the next year
Date of first trip
Length of stay first trip
The Global Mobility Specialist requires the following to proceed with visa processing:
Passport (with at least 6 months remaining validity)
Peru visa application form, completed, signed, and fingerprinted. (You will need to use an ink pad and stamp the impression of your right index finger in the designated space.)
1 passport type photo (color with white background)
Processing time varies and passport is required.
